Until relatively recently, all wedding photographers shot in the same traditional posed and formal style where the focus was almost exclusively

 

 

 

 

However this has changed in the last few years and whilst some couples still prefer the traditional, many others are looking for a more informal documentary style.

My style leans very much towards the latter and aims to tell the story of the whole day in a natural, real and unobtrusive way.

I view myself as a photographer that shoots weddings rather than a traditional wedding photographer.  This makes a big difference.

 

I have photographed over fifty weddings of all styles and sizes and in locations including churches, country houses, restaurants, register offices, barns, cinemas and a forest.
 

I also believe that the photographers personality is as important as their photography skills and must be a good fit both for the couple and their guests.   The simple test is, if you knew the photographer as a friend, would you invite them as a guest?
