​The Theatre - Behind the Scenes​

Over the years I have photographed an endless number of theatre performances in theatres of all sizes and shows of all types.  Such shows are fantastic to photograph but there has been an element of theatre that has always fascinated me more - what goes on behind the scenes.  So when a company has asked me to photograph what they do on the stage, I always ask if I can also photograph what goes on the other side of the curtain.  The part the audience never sees.

These are a selection of the behind the scenes images I have taken and they also formed part of my first gallery exhibition at the Roper Gallery in Bath.
